| Physiotherapy Centers |

|
In line with its strategies concerning rehabilitation and disability, UPMRC established physiotherapy centers in Gaza and Nablus. The aim of these centers is to provide physiotherapy and rehabilitation care to people in need. A small staff operates the centers, dividing their time between providing center-based care, and making home visits to support patients in their home environments. Another aim is to raise awareness about physical disabilities and the role of physiotherapy care in achieving maximum individual independence. As such, our staff conducts weekly awareness-raising sessions for patients and their families to discuss issues related to disability. The physiotherapy centers are linked to the Community-Based Rehabilitation Program, and staff from both programs provide reciprocal training as well as share information and experience. The centers provided care to 11,500 beneficiaries in Gaza and the West Bank, and the discharge rate reached approximately 10 per month, with at least a 70% progress rate reached with each patient.
