Tens of children, young men and women with disabilities and representatives of civil society demanded today that the Greek government back down on its decision to stop freedom flotilla 2 from sailing towards Gaza Strip, condemning the interception of the French 'Dignity' boat by the Greek Navy, detaining it and preventing it from sailing to the besieged Strip.
This came during a solidarity stand organized by PNGO at Gaza sea port where the freedom flotilla was supposed to be received.
Participants held signs that called for the quick release of freedom flotilla 2 and the Dignity boat, and signs reading “ the people wants and end for the blockade” and “people want their freedom” chanting “we want our freedom”. Signs calling for an end of the blockade and protecting PWDs were also held and participants called upon the UN to exert pressure in order to end the siege and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza
