A PMRS program launched activities on the occasion of the World Disabled Day in which several people participated in. The ceremony was held in the Hebron Town Hall. Several skits and activities were conducted that promoted the rights of persons with disabilities.
Inas Maswadi and Mariam Nassar gave an inspirational speech on behalf of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society. They discussed the importance of the partnership from both private and public institutions in supporting the issues of persons with disabilities as a social responsibility.
In addition to this, the PMRS also participated with the Department of Youth, volunteers and PMRS health coalitions and launched an Open Day in the village of Ithna near Hebron on the occasion of World AIDS Day.
Amal Medea the program director of the PMRS Women's Health Program in Hebron stated that through the projects and services provided by PMRS it reaches the largest number of members of Palestinian society especially the youth in order to enable them to obtain the necessary information related to their sexual and reproductive health and make them aware of crucial issues such as AIDS.
