The Palestinian Medical Relief commends the hard work and success of the community health of which 99.2% of the class succeeded in the professional examination.
The President of PMRS, Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi expressed his pride in PMRS’ pioneering role played by the creation of the School of Community Health since its inception 25 years ago aimed to devote a career in the health workforce. This is truly a pioneering achievement in the Middle East.
PMRS affirmed that the School of Community Health dedicated its time in creating a profession for community health workers making Palestine at the forefront among countries. On behalf PMRS, its Board, managers, staff and volunteers it congratulates all of the community health workers for their success. PMRS also expresses it gratitude to the Ministry of Health and the Licensing Department for its cooperation with PMRS and the Community Health Workers Union in achieving this accomplishment.
PMRS’ idea of establishing the School of Community Health emerged from the prevalent nature of conditions experienced by the Palestinian people. Today, this idea which was created by PMRS 25 years ago is considered a huge success as it greatly serves its citizens today.
PMRS stated that it followed the approach to meet the needs of the citizens health and it helped in the creation of models in terms of both efficiency and quality. These models primarily address the policies of occupation while establishing health programs such as women's health, non communicable disease program, community based rehabilitation and more in order to serve Palestinian society while preserving their rights.
PMRS affirmed that the community health workers are now working in their communities by providing quality healthcare services to its citizens.
